Special Olympics helps the athletes in many ways. “It gives our athletes a way to work on their social skills and educational skills because while they are here not only are they bowling, but there learning,” said Anthony Sokenu, D.C. The students are encouraged to add their scores together and are taught what a strike means versus a spare. “They get a little bit of math, English and communication education.
