Command Assistance for Medical Readiness Monitor and provide assistance with Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) requirements, including medical assignment/duty limitation codes, immunizations, labs, dental, spectacles/gas mask inserts, Deployment Related Health Assessments, and Physical Health Assessments.
Command Medical Certifications & Standards in ASIMS Certify qualification exams for AF duty-specific medical standards and make waiver decisions, as appropriate, for Airmen aligned to AFDW in the Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS).
Command Support for Medical Resourcing, Manning & Medic Readiness Identify and advocate for resourcing of medical requirements, assist with resolving medical readiness program issues, and assist with deployment readiness training for medical personnel. Point of contact for WWM Unit Deployment Managers (UDMs) and leaders to address issues related to medical personnel/capability readiness and/or to connect them with appropriate resources. 
Command Support for Training, Force Development, Medical Compliance & Career Broadening Assist with required clinical/specialty readiness training, development, and career broadening opportunities for medical personnel. Consult and advise on patient safety, healthcare accreditation, professional staff management, risk management, and clinical performance improvement activities as needed/requested. Advise WWM leaders on compliance/Continual Evaluation (CE) program execution for medical policies, plans and performance. 
Command Functional Manager Support for Worldwide Mission Medics Appoint MAJCOM/DRU Functional Managers (MFMs) for 88 medical AFSCs. Provide oversight, mentorship, and development for MFMs ISO medics aligned to the WWM. Provide functional support and advocacy through participation in AF-level medical community work groups, cross-functional teams, and governance.
Functional Support to Medics Deployed to 320th Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW) Provide functional support to 320 AEW assigned medics, including onboarding/out processing, reach back assistance, scope of service issues, lessons learned, training and development.
Guidance Support for Commanders on Mental Health, Family Advocacy and ADAPT Provide command teams with guidance and support related to mental health, family advocacy, and ADAPT issues, programs, and resources. Facilitate referrals, coordination, and communication between command teams and servicing clinics, as necessary.
Mentorship & Professional Development for Medical Officer & Enlisted Corps Represent and support WWM medics as part of AF-level development teams (e.g., vectoring, mentoring, selections, coordination with Career Field Managers) and through Sr leader participation in professional development courses (e.g., Tier 1 MDG/CC Course, Combined Sr Leadership Course, Operational Executive Skills Course, Biomedical Officer Management Orientation). Provide individual mentoring and professional development opportunities.
Monitor Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Command Medical Processes & Commander Support Monitor AFDW Exceptional Family Member Program-Medical, Command Screening Board medical clearance, and Separation Health Physical Exam processes and coordinate with the medical treatment facility, AFDW/A1, and/or AFPC to resolve issues, as necessary. Participate in the AFDW Religious Resolution Team when a medical exemption is requested for religious reasons. Medical consultant for AFNORTH deployments to the National Capital Region and public health emergency officer consultant for surveilling, preventing, controlling, and reporting disease/illness with significant operational/force health protection impact.
Oversight of Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) & Other Functional Awards Communicates functional award opportunities, collects nominatons, boards/selects/recognizes AFDW recipients, and submits nominations to HHQ IAW award instructions (e.g., AFMS award nominations for medics in the WWM are typically processed through AFDW). 
Provide Reach-back for Drug Demand Reduction Program Reachback support for installation-level Drug Demand Reduction Program (DDRP) Managers and offices in WWM administering a drug testing program for AF members. Focal point for administering AFDW installation DDRP, including budget, AD/civilian drug urinalysis testing programs, drug abuse prevention, education and outreach. 
Senior Medical Advisors for all Health Service Support Policies, Plans, Engagements & Exercises Inform and execute DAF/SG functional guidance for health service support policies, plans, engagements, and exercises pertinent to the WWM (e.g., embedded/integrated operational medical support).
Support Aerospace & Operational Medicine Enterprise (AOME) Monitor and provide assistance with aerospace and occupational medicine programs and issues (e.g., Medical Evaluation Boards, Integrated Disability Evaluation System, Airman Medical Readiness Optimization, and Base Operational Medicine Clinic).
