Honor Flight vets welcomed to D.C.
World War II Honor Flight veterans greet a line of supporters cheering and waving American flags at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport March 10. More than 200 active duty military members gathered to greet the 256 incoming veterans. Since May 2005, Honor Flight Network has transported more than 36,000 World War II, Korea and Viet Nam veterans to Washington, D.C., for a one-day trip that includes sightseeing at all of the memorials built in honor of the veterans.
