2012 Military Leadership Award
Capt. Gina Fasciani, a critical care nurse with the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center was selected by the USO for the 2012 Military Leadership Award. Fasciani was honored May 1 at the USO’s 46th annual Woman of the Year Luncheon, held at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Fasciani’s contributions to the mission in Afghanistan were cited, as she was credited with 99 percent survival rate and directly treated 380 trauma patients. (Courtesy photo)
