The Air War College senior leader course nonresident program and Air Command and Staff College seminar programs are soliciting eligible officers and federal employees for enrollment.

"Student seminars combine independent study with informal gatherings conducive to adult learning and have proven to be the most successful approach to completing the nonresidence program," said Rosalind McQueen, education advisor.

AWC senior developmental education program
The AWC nonresident curriculum is similar to the resident program. Core courses include foundations of strategy, national security and decision making, global security, joint military operations and joint strategic leadership.

The program is open to all O-5 selects and above. Federal civil service employees in the grade of General Schedule-14 and 15, National Security Personnel System employees in Pay Band 3 and 4 as well as lab/demo employees in grades DR-III/IV are also eligible. The seminar program takes approximately 12-15 months to complete.

ACSC Joint PME I Program
The ACSC program is open to all O-4 selects and above. Federal civil service employees in the grade of GS-12 or 13 or Pay Band 2 in NSPS, who have at least 2 years of civil service and a bachelor's degree, are also eligible. The program takes about 10 months to complete.

Seminars may be formed at the Pentagon, Bolling Air Force Base, Rosslyn or Crystal City depending upon the number of enrollments for each location. Seminars are tentatively scheduled to start in October. Once started, seminar classes usually meet weekly.
