Air Force, Microsoft agreement provides software for home use

The Air Force's Enterprise Software licensing agreement with Microsoft entitles all Air Force network users to attain one licensed copy of the Microsoft Office Suite and/or one licensed copy of Microsoft Office Project software to install and use on their home computer. Authorized employees are responsible for the nominal fees for production of the CD media and shipping.

All Air Force District of Washington active-duty military personnel and Department of the Air Force civilian employees and contractors with AFDW network accounts and e-mail addresses that end with "afncr.af.mil" and/or "pentagon.af.mil" are eligible for the program through AFDW/A6.

Microsoft Corporation manages the use of the home-use program licenses. To place an order, and individual must agree to the HUP terms and conditions and then becomes solely responsible for complying with the HUP license agreement. Two facts to highlight from the HUP terms and conditions: employees have full license rights for the software associated with the HUP; and employee's license will expire upon termination of employment with the Air Force. The Air Force is not responsible for tracking software loaded on covered employees' home computers or for any violations of the HUP.

To take advantage of this program while it's available, contact Decobra Sansbury, AFDW software benefits administrator, at DSN 612-0884, commercial: (301) 612-0884, or e-mail: decobra.sansbury@afncr.af.mil.
