All civilians assigned to Air Force District of Washington are reminded the window for VERA/VSIP applications closes Feb. 3, 2012. As Jan. 23, AFDW/A1 has received 67 applications and is in the process of determining potential matches.

Civilians have the following two opportunities to attend retirement seminars:

- Jan. 25, Pentagon Auditorium, Room BH650, 8:30-9:30 a.m. briefing; noon-3 p.m. for one-on-one counseling

- Jan. 26, Joint Base Andrews, Md. (Smart Center), 8:30-10:30 a.m. briefing; noon-3 p.m. for one-on-one counseling

Civilians considering retiring are encouraged to attend one of the remaining seminars this week. In addition, due to the overwhelming requests for more retirement  counseling, AFDW's Civilian Personnel Office is coordinating additional one-on-one counseling sessions (no briefings) for Jan. 31 and Feb. 3 at both JBA and the Pentagon. Details are forthcoming.
