Opportunities to return to active duty Published Feb. 13, 2012 By Air Force Recruiting Service Washington -- The Air Force is now accepting applications for the Prior Service enlistment program. The program allows qualified individuals the opportunity to return to active duty through direct duty or select retraining opportunities. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements outlined in AFRSI 36-2001. The PS program is open to any qualified applicant who graduated from a basic military training program. The PS program will accept a limited number of applicants during fiscal year 2012, and the program is subject to change based upon Air Force needs. Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.
