Headquarters Air Force District of Washington gained four new technical sergeants from the 8,518 staff sergeants selected for promotion June 19.

Air Force Personnel Center officials released the list of selectees from the 12E6 election board at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (8 a.m. Central Daylight Time).

AFDW's technical sergeant selectees are:

SSgt. Jeremy Boggs, Contracting
SSgt. Adam Clonick, Contracting
SSgt. Sheliah McDaniel, Contracting
SSgt. Crystal Wright, Strategic Plans and Programs

"Promotion to tech sergeant is a tough one," said AFDW Commander Maj. Gen. Darren W. McDew. "This achievement is a testament to the leadership, performance and professionalism of these Airmen as well as their dedication to our Air Force and our nation."

There were 37,402 eligible staff sergeants for promotion to technical sergeant for a 22.77 percent selection rate, according to Air Force Personnel, Service and Manpower Public Affairs.

The average score for those selected was 321.94, with an average time in grade of 5.39 years and time in service of 10.58 years. The average score was based on the following point averages: 132.69 for enlisted performance reports, 5.59 for decorations, 75.37 for the promotion fitness exam and 55.39 for the specialty knowledge test, according to AFPC.

Following AFPC's public release of the list, AFDW senior leadership visited the command's new technical sergeants to congratulate them on their achievement.

"I want each of them to know how extremely proud we are to have them on our team and we'll continue to grow them into the best the Air Force has to offer," said McDew.

Promotions will begin in August according to the promotion sequence number for those selected.

"Selections are tentative until the data verification process is complete, which is no later than 10 days after the promotion release date," said AFPC officials. "Personnel officials will notify Airmen via their military personnel section if their selection is in question."
