5/3/2011 - Maj. Gen. Darren McDew, commander, Air Force District of Washington, speaks at a Capitol Wingman Culture event, April 28, Joint Base Andrews, Md. The new Wingman initiative is something General McDew hopes will inspire his team to stay conscious of each other all year long. "This club is about more than just a slogan. It's about caring for our people first, in all that we do," he said. The entire AFDW team, including the 11th Wing, the 79th Medical Wing and the 844th Communications Group, will undergo a compliance inspection this summer. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt.
