Unveiling America's Team
A newly unveiled statue of an Air Force first lieutenant in his flight suit stands at National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Md., Nov. 11. In observance of Veterans Day, the National Harbor hosted an event, “Unveiling of America’s Team: Protecting Your Freedom.” This year’s observance marked the centennial of Armistice Day, signaling the end of World War I, and Harbor officials celebrated the occasion with the unveiling of new statues depicting military service members from each branch.
