Brig. Gen. Peter E. Gersten, Deputy Director for Politico-Military Affairs, Strategic Plans and Policy Directorate, at the Pentagon, pins a Legion of Merit medal onto Air Force District of Washington Vice Commander Col. Michael E. Gantt during his retirement ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, Md., June 6. Gersten provided remarks during Gantt’s retirement ceremony. “He’s one of those guys. He is one of those fighter pilots everyone loves,” Gersten said. “He is one of the best guys I know.” Gantt retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving for more than 26 years.
