New AFDW/CC: Renewed focus on mission, priorities, people

Air Force District of Washington Commander Maj. Gen. Darryl W. Burke addresses Airmen during the AFDW change of command ceremony on Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, July 22, 2014. As the AFDW commander, Burke plans to set clear priorities to help his Airmen focus on the mission. “I have found in an organization if you set priorities and say, ‘These are the big things I’m working on,’ then your organization can focus together,” he said. “I think if you keep the priorities straight, then everyone knows what they are working toward, and it makes it easier to do the job.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Tammie Moore)
