AFDW/CCC receives flu shot
Chief Master Sgt. Paul Wheeler, Air Force District of Washington command chief, receives his flu shot from Aerospace Medical Technician Staff Sgt. Latoya McGee, from the 779th Medical Operation Squadron, Allergy/Immunization Clinic, Andrews Air Force Base, Md. Flu vaccinations this year are being combined with Individual Medical Readiness screenings for all AFDW Airmen assigned to Andrews. Screenings will occur Oct. 21 thru 23 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Andrews base theater. In addition to the flu vaccination, public health, dental and immunizations readiness requirements will be reviewed. Flu shots are recommended for all Airmen. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each year in the United States more than 200,000 people are hospitalized and more than 36,000 people die from flu complications.
