Bree,a Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard dog, quietly stalks a group of Canadian geese before scaring them off a pond on Andrews Air Force Base, Md. Andrews is one of several bases that use border collies to help control the bird population on base. This translates into fewer bird strikes for aircraft taking off and landing on the Andrews runway. Bree has reduced the bird strikes on base by 50 percent in two years,. (US Air Force photo by Bobby Jones)
