Capt. Ramirez 1st Helo Squadron
Capt. Daniel Ramirez of the 1st Helicopter Squadron flags a clean 1 HS aircraft into a vacant Pentagon parking lot coated in bio-agent simulant. The clean helo and its pilots, members of the 316th Wing at Andrews AFB, M were later swabbed to measure how contaminated they became as a result of the rotor wash. The airmen were part of 18 different state and federal agencies assisting the Pentagon Force Protection Agency in an Operational Response Test that took place July 11 on the Pentagon Reservation. The test was designed to provide first responders with information on the best methods to decontaminate people following a biological attack.
