1st. Helo squadron crewman sampled
Contracted AFDW employee Debra Robinson and senior CBRNE analyst Carl Blakey swab Staff Sgt. Jason Sitzles of the 316 WG, 1st Helicopter Squadron’s flight helmet after his arrival at Andrews AFB. Samples taken from the entire crew indicate the amount of contaminant they were exposed to during the evacuation. The airmen were part of 18 different state and federal agencies assisting the Pentagon Force Protection Agency in an Operational Response Test that took place July 11 on the Pentagon Reservation. The test was designed to provide first responders with information on the best methods to decontaminate people following a biological attack.
