Honor Guard burial detail
AFDW Commander Maj. Gen. Darrell D. Jones observes the Honor Guard ceremonial casket bearars drill with a full scale replica coffin along side Maj. Tyson Willis, the Honor Guard's director of operations. Recognized for their roles in state funerals and for conferring honors during military burials, the bearers walk in unison, observing subtle gestures in the feet on the men in front of them signaling a change in elevation or a dropoff. The Dec. 16, 2009 immersion tour took General Jones from the 11th Operationsl Group headquarters to the ceremonial lawn and included a tour of all Honor Guard drill facilities at Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C.
