Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) talks with Maj. Gen. Darren McDew, Air Force District of Washington commander, inside the lobby of the newly dedicated William A. Jones III building during a tour of the facility March 22, 2011. Located atop 17 acres on Joint Base Andrews, the state-of-the-art facility will host 2,300 military and civilian personnel from around the National Capital Region. Col. William A. Jones III was an Air Force pilot who was shot down by enemy fire during the Vietnam War. He landed his aircraft safely, and was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for his efforts to locate and rescue a downed pilot. (U.S. Air Force photo by Bobby Jones)
