Wounded Warriors highlighted in documentary
Joint Base Andrews, Md. and the 779th Aeromedical Staging Facility were hignlighted Aug. 9 in a D0D commissioned documentary. The film will be shown Sept. 9 at a conference in Washington, D.C and focuses on how the military takes care of Wounded Warriors since 9/11. Here Senior Airmen Brunette talks about his job as a medic at the ASF, the primary East Coast hub for aeromedical evacuation aircraft returning sick or injured patients from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to the United States for care. The ASF is the first stop on American soil for Wounded Warriors as they transit from Central Command's theater of operations to their next treatment facility or home in the United States.
