Wounded Warriors highlighted in documentary

A wounded patient is offloaded from a KC-135 on the Joint Base Andrews, Md. flightline. Combat troops typically arrive here within 72 hours of suffering a severe battlefield injury. The aeromedical staging facility at Andrews is the primary East Coast hub for aeromedical evacuation aircraft returning sick or injured patients from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to the United State for care. The ASF is the first stop on American soil for Wounded Warriors as they transit from Central Command's theater of operations to their next treatment facility or home in the United States.
