Wounded Warriors highlighted in documentary
A wounded patient is offloaded from a KC-135 on the Joint Base Andrews, Md. flightline by a multitude of aeromedical staging facility personnel who know that every second counts in the treatment of Wounded Warriors arriving from Central Command's theater of operations. Combat troops typically arrive here within 72 hours of suffering a severe battlefield injury. The aeromedical staging facility at Andrews is the primary East Coast hub for aeromedical evacuation aircraft returning sick or injured patients from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to the United State for care.
