Wounded Warriors highlighted in documentary

A critical care patient is moved to the Walter Reed patient transport vehicle. Sometimes these liters can weigh more than 500 lbs. Combat troops typically arrive here within 72 hours of suffering a severe battlefield injury. The aeromedical staging facility at Joint Base Andrews, Md. is the primary East Coast hub for aeromedical evacuation aircraft returning sick or injured patients from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to the United States for care.
