U.S. Air Force Band

The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team gave a 16-man demonstration Dec. 6 to Air Force District of Washington leadership during an orientation on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. The orientation was part of an immersion brief for leadership to become aware of the missions of the U.S. Air Force Band and USAF Honor Guard. Rain or shine, the USAF Honor Guard’s primary mission is to render military honors to members of the Air Force, past and present, and their families, during funeral services at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. The Drill Team is the traveling component of the guard, promoting the Air Force mission by showcasing drill performances at public and military venues to recruit, retain, and inspire Airmen.
