U.S. Air Force Band
Chief Master Sgt. Scott A. Fuller, Air Force District of Washington command chief, and Master Sgt. Johnny Hamm, AFDW First Sgt., observe the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Firing Party fire the three volley salute Dec. 6 at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. The presentation was part of an immersion brief for leadership to become aware of the missions of the U.S. Air Force Band and USAF Honor Guard. Firing party element trains two to six hours each day, depending on how heavily the commitments are at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. The goal of the firing party is to fire three volleys in unison to create, what sounds like, one loud shot with each volley. (U.S. Air Force photo by Melanie Moore)
