Fisher house volunteers gather around Janet Grampp, Joint Base Andrews’ Fisher House manager, to capture the moment March 15 on JBA, Md. A recognition luncheon was hosted by Maj. Gen. Darren W. McDew and his wife Evelyn to thank those individuals who volunteer on a repeated basis at the Fisher House and give of their time to care for service members. The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military through a program that enables family members to be close to a loved one during hospitalization or treatment for illness, disease or injury. According to the JBA Fisher House manager, the Fisher House could not be successful without the numerous dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours at the home cooking, cleaning, and caring for families. JBA's Fisher House is so well maintained by it's staff and volunteers that it has been used as an example home throughout the Fisher House program. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Chyenne Adams)
