2012 Joint Service Open House

The V-22 Osprey is the newest addition to the Marine Corps’ aviation fleet. Guests were given a preview of its capabilities during its show performances when it flew down the flight line as a helicopter and back using its airplane capabilities. The 2012 Joint Service Open House is celebrating 100 years of Marine aviation May 18 – 20 on Joint Base Andrews, Md. In recognition, 72 of the 100 years were represented by Marine static displays flown in from around the country to the base. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Tabitha N. Haynes)
