Michael Curry, Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, La. during this year?s Air Force Association Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition, Washington D.C., Sept. 17-19, 2012. Air Force Global Strike Command is commemorating the 60th anniversary of the first flight of the B-52 Stratofortress on April 15, 1952, with yearlong events centered around the theme: "The B-52: An Icon of American Airpower."
