USAF HG female pallbearer honored to serve
Staff Sgt. Jennifer Powell, United States Air Force Honor Guard pallbearer, practices the presentation of the flag March 5, 2013 at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington. Powell joined the Body Bearing team a year-and-a-half ago and was one of two women to do so since 1972. “To be one of the first female pallbearers is pretty cool,” Powell said. “But honestly, any female can do it if they want it and have the motivation and drive.” (U.S Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
