SAF comptroller visits, recognizes AFDW Airmen

Assistant Secretary of the Air Force Financial Management and Comptroller Dr. Jamie M. Morin presents the Air Force District of Washington Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Team with the 2012 SAF/FM Special Acts and Services Award, May 14, 2013, at Joint Base Andrews, Md. The FIAR team is comprised of AFDW/FM and Contracting directorates. Over the course of 2012, the team reviewed over 2,000 contracts and successfully closed out in excess of $50 million in aged funds--money which was returned to the U.S. Treasury and U.S. Air Force for reuse.
