Military Day was celebrated at the 2012 D.C. Special Olympics, May 23, at Catholic University. Air Force District of Washington Commander Maj. Gen. Darren W. McDew participated in a 4x100 meter relay race with athletes to kick-off the day's events. U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard presented the colors, U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team performed and countless military members volunteered to help with the events.
