Happy Holidays to AFDW Airmen

As we enter into the holidays, please accept my best wishes for a safe, happy holiday season as well as my appreciation for your selfless service.

Since joining the AFDW team five months ago, I've seen you execute complex missions with pride, precision and teamwork. You've done the same in taking care of our fellow Airmen and community members. You're as inspiring as you are impressive, and I'm so proud to serve alongside you.

My hope is that each of you has plans to spend at least part of the holiday with family or friends -- and that you'll take extra care of yourselves and others over the holiday season. I've learned that being separated from loved ones, traveling long distances with unpredictable weather conditions, keeping holiday lights and candles aglow, and toasting with holiday spirits are just a few reasons why this festive time of year warrants extra vigilance as Wingmen.

Please also keep close in your thoughts our many deployed and TDY Airmen and their families. I know how much they appreciate the thoughtfulness you demonstrate all year round. Thank you for being such great Wingmen by sending them encouraging e-mails over the holidays.
