Thomas White, Air Force District of Washington unit training manager, Joint Base Andrews, Md., is an AFDW Capital Airman. Why did you choose to become part of the Air Force family? I chose to become a part of the Air Force family because I wanted to do something different in life. At the time, I knew college was not for me so I figured I would do something special and joined the Air Force. What is your job and how does that impact the AFDW mission? My job as the AFDW unit training manager is to develop, deliver and evaluate education and training programs. My job impacts the mission by helping our senior leaders ensure all of our personnel receive the highest quality training we can provide. Another important way I impact AFDW mission is by ensuring our member's training is always current so when called upon, they can deploy their skills anytime and anywhere.
