579th MDG's Presidents Day holiday closure

The Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Clinic will be closed for observance of the Presidents Day holiday, Monday, Feb. 16.

There will be no scheduled appointments, pharmacy, or laboratory services.

Prescription refills requested before noon Feb. 13 will be available for pickup after noon Feb. 17. Prescription refills requested after noon Feb. 13 will be available for pickup after noon Feb. 18.

For urgent care issues, go to Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center at Joint Base Andrews, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center or Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Emergent Care Clinics. Individuals who are out of the area should contact Health Net Federal Services, at 1 (877) 874-2273, for urgent care instructions and authorizations. To speak to speak to a registered nurse about any medical condition please call the Nurse Advice Line at 1 (877) TRICARE.

Urgent Care is defined as care for an illness or injury that requires treatment within 24 hours but is not life threatening. Examples include: earache, toothache, rising fever, joint sprain or urinary tract infection. Visits to civilian urgent care centers require prior authorization from your Primary Care Manager. Failure to do so could result cause you to incur the cost of the visit.

Emergency Care is defined as a threat to life, limb or eye sight, such as severe bleeding, chest pain or broken bones. Those in need of emergency care, should dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
