11th Wing commander announces new ADR policy Published Sept. 15, 2008 By 11th Wing Public Affairs BOLLING AFB -- Col. Jon A. Roop, 11th Wing commander, recently announced a new policy concerning alternate dispute resolution. The intent of ADR is to provide a local dispute resolution option other than the traditional complaint systems used for active duty and federal civilian employees. In an effort to save time, money, resources and improve productivity the 11th Wing ADR manager Alfred Speaks has recommended the commonly used method of "mediation". The mediation technique increases the likelihood that parties involved in the dispute will be able to find an acceptable solution. "In order to maximize the voluntary settlement of our differences, I urge commanders, directors, supervisors and managers to implement the use of mediation," said Colonel Roop. "The 11th Wing is firmly committed to using ADR to resolve disputes through-out all of our offices and to offer it to our serviced activities where applicable." The ADR policy went into effect Aug. 13 and can be viewed any time by contacting the 11th Wing ADR manager Alfred Speaks at DSN 754-8816 or via e-mail at Alfred.speaks@bolling.af.mil.
