2008 AFDW Civil Engineer awards announced

AIR FORCE DISTRICT OF WASHINGTON --  Winners of the 2008 Air Force District of Washington Civil Engineer annual awards were recently announced by AFDW Commander Maj. Gen. Ralph Jodice. 

"All nominees are to be commended for their extraordinary performance and outstanding dedication to duty," said General Jodice. "But the winners stood out as first class leaders setting high standards of excellence while moving forward with Civil Engineer transformation."

This year's winners are:

· The Air Force Outstanding Civil Engineer- Large Unit, 316th Civil Engineer Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base
· The Air Force Outstanding Civil Engineer- Small Unit, 11th CES, Bolling Air Force Base
· The Maj. Gen. General Robert C. Thompson Award, 316th CES, Resources Flight, Andrews
· The Maj. Gen. Clifton D. Wright Award - 316th CES, Operations Flight, Andrews
· The Chief Master Sgt. Ralph E. Sanborn Award - 316thth CES, Fire Flight, Andrews
· Senior Master Sgt. Gerald J. Stryzak Award - 316th CES, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight, Andrews
· Col. Frederick J. Reimer Award - 316th CES, Readiness and Emergency Service Flight, Andrews
· The Brig. Gen. Archie S. Mayes Award - 316th CES Engineering Flight, Andrews
· The Air Force Outstanding Civil Engineer Environmental Flight Award - 316th CES Environmental Flight, Andrews
· The Brig. Gen. Michael A. McAuliffe Award - 11th CES Housing Flight, Bolling
· The Harry P. Reitman Award - Ms. Catherine Fairlie, 11th CES, Bolling
· The Maj. Gen. William D. Gilbert Award (Civilian) - Mr. Pete Vielandi, AFDW/A4/7
· The Major General William D. Gilbert Award (Officer) - Capt. Jake Kremmel, AFDW/A4/7
· Civil Engineer Manager of the Year (Civilian Manager) - Mr. Christopher Parks, 316th CES, Andrews
· Outstanding Civil Engineer Manager of the Year (Civilian Technician) - Mr. Carlos Proctor, 316th CES, Andrews
· Civil Engineer Manager of the Year (GS6-9/WS08 and Below) - Mr. David A. Clark, 316th CES, Andrews
· Chief Master Sgt. Larry R. Daniels Award - Master Sgt. Todd Joiner, 316th CES, Andrews
