11th Wing IG wins AFDW award

BOLLING AFB, D.C. --  The 11th Wing Inspector General Directorate was awarded the John P. Flynn Award for the second consecutive year May 29. 

The IG office accepted honors at the Air Force District of Washington level. Maj. Gen. Ralph Jodice, AFDW commander presented the award. 

The 11th Wing IG is the largest IG institution in the United States Air Force and provides service for any Airmen not supported by a major command. This totals more than 42,000 personnel and is the largest unit-level customer base in the Air Force. 

The office also processed more than 146 worldwide IG complaints, a number that has increased 58 percent since 2007. 

"We make the right thing happen," said Lt. Col. Alan F. Rebholz, 11th Wing inspector general, "I've got a great office of people. We are a very small office, but everyone here is super-quality."
