Chief Master Sgt. Pat Battenberg announced as new AFDW Command Chief

Air Force District of Washington Commander, Maj. Gen. Ralph Jodice, has announced
Chief Master Sgt. Pat Battenberg to be the AFDW Command Chief. Chief Battenberg will assume the Command Chief's role upon Chief Paul Wheeler's retirement.
Chief Battenberg will be dual-hatted as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of both Air Force District of Washington and the 320th Air Expeditionary Wing, headquartered at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. As the AFDW senior enlisted leader, Chief Battenberg will be responsible for all matters affecting professional development, wartime operations, sustainment training, career progression, effective utilization, morale, welfare, quality of life and mission effectiveness affecting more than 40,000 Airmen assigned to Headquarters Air Force and Air Force elements worldwide.
