The U.S. Air Force Band welcomed guest visitor and speaker Brig. Gen. Daryl L. Bohac, Nebraska National Air Guard, assistant adjutant general, Oct. 22.

The performance was held at the Lincoln North Star High School, Lincoln, Neb., for the final Nebraska performance on the 25-day community relations tour across the Midwest U.S.

"We are here tonight to witness the blending of the talents of the musicians with that of their Air Force precision and excellence," said Bohac.

The USAF Band Singing Sergeants left each member of the audience cheering with excitement and patriotism after witnessing the "Americana" themed program.

Bohac and his wife were joined by Col. Richard J. Evans, 155 Air Refueling Wing commander, and family, to enjoy the free concert.

While the USAF Band gives honor to veterans at each performance on tour, the invitation to the guard unit was fitting, since the Nebraska Air National Guard is the second oldest Air National Guard unit in the nation.

The band's 2011 Fall Tour is heading to South Dakota for the final portion of the tour next.
