Air Force District of Washington and the USO hosted an Airmen pizza party Dec. 8 at the community activity center on Joint Base Andrews, Md.

"It is our way to say thank you for all you do for us," said Dawn Fincham, USO program and services manager.

More than 300 Airmen, Sailors and Marines from the local area units came to enjoy the free pizza, music, games and gifts.

Special guest Jason Britton, sports bike free-style rider, came out to meet the servicemembers and sign autographs as well.

"Being a sponsor of Monster [energy drink], they utilize athletes to give thanks to the troops," said the movie stunt biker, who has 15 years professional biking experience.

Britton just returned from Japan, where he toured six bases talking to troops about safety and enjoyed Thanksgiving with them.

It is an honor to give back for the sacrifice, hardship and servitude of our servicememebers, he said.

Also among the crowd was AFDW Commander Maj. Gen. Darren W. McDew with his command staff, Col. Greg Urtso, 11th Wing vice commander, Col. Gina Humble, 11th Operations Group commander, and Santa to spreading holiday cheer.

Troops were able to get their picture taken with Santa, and while they enjoyed their pizza he mingled to see who had been bad and good this year.
