PSRW ceremony honors AFDW civilians

Joint Base Andrews, Md. --  Two Air Force District of Washington members will be honored May 9 at the Pentagon Center Courtyard, Va., for Public Service Recognition Week.

AFDW's Judy Gibson, plans and requirements, and Brian K. Halston, contracting, are among eight Air Force civilian employees being honored at the ceremony.

Military members, Department of Defense civilian employees and those with Pentagon access may attend the ceremony to recognize all outstanding National Capital Region DoD civilian employees for their service.

Following the recognition portion of the 11:30 a.m. ceremony, the U.S. Air Force Band's premier rock ensemble, Max Impact, will entertain guests during a reception.

PSRW has been celebrated the first week of May since 1985. It was instituted as a time set aside to honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees.
