AFDW commander sends Thanksgiving message to Airmen, families

NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION --  Team AFDW, as you all depart to celebrate Thanksgiving with your family and friends, please accept my very best wishes for a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend.

Thank you for all you do to execute the AFDW mission and to take care of others - in performing your many mission demands, in being great teammates and wingmen, and in so generously giving your time and resources to improve the lives of others.

As you enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, please remember our deployed personnel who are spending this distinctively American holiday away from their loved ones. We're grateful for their sacrifice and earnest dedication to improve the lives of others.

Finally, please pass on my thanks to your families for their steadfast support of your service to our great Air Force - they, like you, are true patriots.
