Joint Base Andrews hosted a Civilian Professional Enhancement Seminar for Department of Defense civilians at the General Jacob E. Smart Conference Center at JBA, Md., Oct. 27 and Oct. 28, 2022.

The seminar included discussions focused on professional enhancement and career guidance for the DoD civilians who work across the National Capital Region. Throughout both days, they discussed topics such as effective communication and strategies, ethical leadership, and emotional intelligence. Chief Master Sgt. Slyvester Lawrence, Air Force District of Washington Airman Development Advisor special duty manager, and Col. Heather Nelson, 316th Medical Group deputy commander, were among the many facilitators to discuss these topics.

JBA offers professional development programs for a multitude of recurring topics. Another civilian seminar will take place during the second quarter of 2023.
