The Air Force Memorial remains open to pedestrian access only in an effort to minimize the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 and to prioritize the health and safety of all visitors and the Department of the Air Force personnel.   All events are cancelled until further notice.  Visitors can park along Southgate Street for a short walk to the memorial.  Visitors with special needs (i.e. wheel chair access or limited mobility) can be dropped off at the Air Force Memorial entrance prior to parking.  Please continue to monitor this website and our Facebook page for updates.

Concert dates:  Sept. 13 CANCELED

Featuring performances by the Concert Band and members of the Singing Sergeants, with exciting flyovers and impeccable Honor Guard Drill Team demonstrations.

FREE! All concerts will be at the Air Force Memorial.

Please arrive early to allow adequate time for parking, transit to the Memorial and security*. 

*Unlike other Summer Series Concerts, there will be an increased security presence that will include checking personal belongings. Please see below list for unallowable items at the Memorial.

Parking

Parking at the Air Force Memorial is limited.

There is free, but limited, parking available in the South Gate parking lot just down the hill from the Memorial.

There is also street parking and numerous parking garages near the Pentagon City Metro shuttle stop, as well as garage parking at the Pentagon City Sheraton. Please keep in mind that many of the garages and street parking require payment.

Lawn chairs or blankets for sitting on the grass
Water
Sunblock
Food and Drink (allowed only during concerts)

Inclement Weather

Inclement Weather calls will be made by 2 p.m. on the day of the event. 

Cancellations will be posted on the Air Force Band and Air Force Memorial Facebook pages. 

 

Attire

Uniform for Air Force General Officers is short-sleeved blues.

Uniform for all other Air Force attendees is short-sleeved blues or civilian attire.

Casual attire is appropriate for all civilian attendees.
