Visits to Malcolm Grow Medical Center (MGMC) for flu-related symptoms have continued to decline over the past several weeks. The Flu Clinic on Andrews closed Dec. 2.

If you or your family members are exhibiting flu-like symptoms and have questions or concerns, call the Flu Info Line at 240-857-7777 to hear an updated recording on the latest flu information. If you are seeking treatment for the flu or flu-like symptoms, please call central appointments at 1-888-999-1212 to be seen by your Primary Care Manager during normal duty hours.

Emergency care is always available at the Malcolm Grow Emergency Department on Andrews. Upon arriving at Malcolm Grow, immediately identify yourself as a possible "flu" patient.

Airmen assigned to Bolling AFB, D.C., may be directed to seek treatment at the Bolling Clinic front entrance. Signs at the clinic will direct you to put on one of the protective masks provided and report immediately to the front desk for assistance. The Bolling Clinic is operating under normal duty hours at this time.

Individuals with uncomplicated and mild flu are encouraged to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website at www.cdc.gov for up-to-date information on influenza as well as stay-at-home instructions. For non-emergency medical concerns or problems related to the flu, active duty Airmen must contact their unit supervisor prior to any decision to stay home during duty hours.

Flu symptoms include fever greater than 100 degrees with sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, chills, headache and body aches and/or fatigue.
