AFDW Commander honors Veterans

Air Force District of Washington Commander Maj. Gen. Darryl Burke speaks with
Maine Sen. Susan Collins before the Veterans Day wreath laying ceremony at
Arlington National Cemetery Nov. 11, 2015. It was an honor to represent the
3.5 million Air Force veterans at the event, said Burke. It was moving to see
so many who took the time to join the President and other senior leaders who
paid respect to our nation's veterans today, said Burke. We honored and
reflected on the sacrifices of our nations veterans today, but we must
continue to share their stories--and those of their families--so that others
can continue to understand what these amazing men and women have done for our
country.
