Ms. Allen is the Director of Staff for the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), headquartered at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. AFDW is the Air Force component to the Joint Task Force National Capital Region and is responsible for organizing, training and equipping combat forces for aerospace expeditionary forces, homeland operations, civil support, national special security events and ceremonial events. AFDW also provides major command-level support for more than 33,000 military and civilian personnel assigned worldwide.
Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Allen served as the Director of Staff, Training and Readiness Directorate, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. Responsibilities included policy, guidance and oversight of Air Force operational training infrastructure, officer and enlisted operations career field management, operational readiness and reporting, and aircrew management. She served as the Deputy Director for Installation Support at Shaw Air Force Base, responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the day-to-day operations for 1,500 personnel. Ms. Allen’s broad civil service experience includes participation in the Air Force Civilian Career Broadening program, Key Career Position (KCP), and the Civilian Strategic Leader Program (CSLP).
